There is a lot of randomness in the system, and there's even more randomness not shown here; namely the attack speed of units varies randomly.

  • Melee units attack animation lasts 7 frames with an additional 0-3 frames of random pauses.[1]
  • Archer delay includes even more randomness.[2]
    • In addition to default animation frames:
    • In r6720 Bowman 4+(0~4); Crossbow 8+(0~8)[3]
    • Apparently changed in upcoming version, Bowman 6+(0~6); Crossbow 8+(0~8)[4]
